Homework

This semester I decided to take my Practicum because I knew the kids schedules and felt like it would be better for me to go ahead and take it now when I know what they have daily. I did my hours in North Little Rock at Crestwood Elementary where Becky teaches and sat in on a second grade class. I had such a wonderful time and really learned a lot! Well, at the end of my 75 hours of observation, I had to teach a lesson to the second graders. I decided that I didn't want to do math, so the teacher said that they had been studying clouds for their science unit and that they had already talked about them, so we could just go over the different types of clouds. She was very helpful in giving me a lesson to do for the project and even a demonstration for the kids. So, I went home and tried the experiment and it didn't work. I asked Mark to help me come up with a fun way to teach second graders about clouds and he said why don't you go get dry ice and put it in hot water and it will look like clouds. So, he went to Wal-Mart and came home and you see what happened.....

I couldn't get them two out of the kitchen, and I'm not sure who was the biggest kid! Needless to say the second graders loved it! I guess it does come in handy for my husband to be a big kid sometimes!!
