School Pictures

Marshall is in First grade this year and this is his school picture. He is growing up so fast, it's hard to believe that he is even in school, much less first grade. Align Center

The Biggest Christmas Store, No Really It Is!

Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, Michigan. It is the size of 5-1/2 football fields. Oh yes, Christmas galore. There were so many ornaments, there is no way you could see them all. They had trees themed from John Deere to Coca Cola. It was about a 45 minute drive from Auburn Hills, but definitely worth it. We went with Lauren the weekend that she came up and had to take Mark back to show him the greatness that was Bronner's. If you're ever in Frankenmuth (not Frankenmoose Lauren) Michigan, don't miss Bronner's.

Detroit Zoo

Mark came up to Detroit for the weekend and we decided to get out take the kids to the Detroit Zoo. We went into the Butterfly Sanctuary with the kids and it was crazy all of the butterflies flying around us. They were all so pretty, it was very neat! See if you can find the butterfly in this picture with Marshall?
Did you find it? It's on his shirt. While he was busy looking at the other ones, that one landed right on his shirt, pretty cool.
This was a picture of a peacock that was just roaming around. He or she, I don't know, was really pretty and surprisingly was too bothered by us taking its picture. I guess it's used to the celebrity lifestyle at the zoo? The golden eagles were really pretty as well. I have never seen one in real life. They were both rescued and brought to the Detroit Zoo to be rehabilitated due to injured wings. They were absolutely beautiful.
We of course had to go see the Polar Bears. I took a picture of the kids with Mark before going into the Polar Bear exhibit with the Polar Bear statue. Marshall was too busy watching everybody walk by and Jordan was probably trying to go to sleep, as usual, but I got a picture.
This was at the end of the exhibit and the walls were frozen and people had stuck their fingers in the ice on the walls, so Marshall and I tried it to. It was really cold!!!
The zoo was so big and we were so tired, we decided to take the train back to the entrance. The kids had a good time riding it and we got to rest our feet for a moment.

Fun in the Tub

Aunt Lauren and Marshall playing in the tub at the hotel in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Aunt Lauren came to visit while we were at Therasuit this summer and had lots of fun playing with Marshi bear. I don't know how clean they got, but they sure had fun!

Back to Michigan we go!

So, after we surprised Lauren in Chicago for her birthday, we headed back to Michigan for the second time this year. Jordan was attending her first Therasuit session and Marshall his second. Mark had to work, so I had both kids in Michigan, at a hotel, by myself! I don't know what I was thinking, other than both kids needed this amazing therapy and there was really no other way to do it, so mom had to take one for the team. Fortunately, Lauren came up for a week and helped me out and the kids did great! This first picture is of Jordan the first day of her program with Szilvia and once she was about an hour into the program and got her suit on, she was out. She was so tired.
Jordan worked really hard on transitioning and pushin through her arms during her intensive program. It's a lot of hard work for a little girl, but she did 3 hours a day, with a 15-20 minute nap toward the end.

Labor Day Weekend 2008

We were headed to Detroit for Therasuit on Labor day weekend, which is Marshall and Aunt Lauren's birthday's. Mom and Jeremy were already in Chicago spending a few days with Lauren, so we decided to stop in Chicago and surprise Aunt Lauren for dinner at The Rainforest Cafe. We got in around 4 pm, changed at the hotel in a hurry and headed to the restaurant. We rushed downtown, which there is no way to rush in traffic in downtown Chicago, so we kept texting mom to stall them so we could make it to the restaurant before them. We did, but not by much and hid behind the huge fish tank and Lauren came around to go to her seat and there we were. I don't think she knew what to say. Marshall turned 7 and Aunt Lauren turned 24. We had a great time and Aunt Lauren was definitely surprised!!
